Dan Leckie

Coach Dan Leckie is a Suffield, CT native and attended the Avon Old Farms School (CT) and the Lawrenceville School (NJ) for high school. At Lawrenceville, Coach Leckie played 3rd base and was named to the NJ Prep A 1st Team, and the Mid-Atlantic Prep League 1st team. Upon graduation, Dan attended Lafayette College where he saw extensive action since his freshman season, primarily playing 3rd base, and CF. He served as a team captain his senior year and was also named a Leader of Distinction across the athletic department. After earning a BA in Economics and Policy Studies in 2019, Coach Leckie used a medical red-shirt year to graduate transfer to the University of Richmond. Coach Leckie played 2 seasons at the University of Richmond, where he saw action at all 3 outfield positions, 1st base, and 2nd base, and earned VaSID 2nd Team All State honors in 2020 as a utility fielder. Dan graduated from the University of Richmond in 2021 with a Masters of Nonprofit Studies, concluding his collegiate career as a .284 career hitter, compiling 15 HRs, and 40 2Bs.
Coach Leckie spent his summers in college playing for the Kalamazoo Growlers and Green Bay Bullfrogs in the Northwoods League, and the Fayetteville Swampdogs and Holly Springs Salamanders in the Coastal Plains League. He previously served as an assistant coach for the Connecticut Blue Jays 18u team. Coach Leckie is eager to share the knowledge he gained defensively as a utility fielder and offensively to help develop the next generation of aspiring collegiate baseball players.
