Joe Saverino
Joe Saverino spent four years as a Varsity Assistant at DeMatha Catholic High School, serving as the infield and hitting coach. He helped lead DeMatha to three straight WCAC Finals, and two Maryland Private School Championships. Before coaching at DeMatha, he spent four years at Bishop McNamara High School as a Varsity Assistant and Junior Varsity Head Coach. He helped McNamara reach the WCAC Finals for the first time in school history in 2012 and 2013. Coach Saverino spent time coaching for Stars Showcase Baseball, leading their 14U-16U teams to multiple tournament championships. Joe played four years of college baseball, two at The College of Southern MD and two at Maryville College. He earned All Region Honors, Rawlings Gold Glove, an All Star Selection, and Scholar Athlete of the Year. He is a Middle School History and Math Teacher. Coach Saverino and his wife Lisa have two children Grady and Lyla.
